Organised in Woodchurch by The Big Thin Red Line

In May 1945 Germany surrendered to the Allies, after six long years of fighting, the war in Europe came to an end. Millions of people up and down the country greeted the news with bonfires, bunting, parades and parties, there was singing and dancing.
With current situations we would like to invite you all to make the most of the day and celebrate the national event by holding your own celebrations at home.
Please don fancy dress & decorate your houses at the front and join us in a social distancing party.

  • 1700 hrs Competition, Drive round – photo shoot
  • 1855 hrs “A Cry for peace” Award for community star Facebook Live show
  • 1900 hrs Woodchurch Big Swing Dance: 1st Glen Miller – In the mood, 2nd Sing Sing Sing – Benny Goodman.
